Solo dog training walk

Solo Training Walks

These are not simply one to one dog walks. They are individual training sessions delivered in a real world walking environment.

Each session is built around a clear training or behavioural goal, such as lead walking, confidence building, recall, over arousal, engagement or helping a dog feel more comfortable around everyday distractions.

By working with your dog while they are actually out in the world, we can practise the behaviours that matter in the situations where they are most likely to be needed.

This service is best suited to dogs who need focused individual support before joining group walks, or dogs whose owners want help with a specific behaviour.

Each walk includes

  • A clear training or behavioural focus
  • Positive, force free methods
  • Real world practice around appropriate distractions
  • Mental stimulation alongside physical exercise
  • Feedback on what we worked on and what to continue at home
Group walk

Group Adventure Walks

Our small group Adventure Walks take dogs out of the local streets and into larger, more varied environments where they have space to explore properly.

Dogs can sniff, move, socialise, engage with the world around them and, where it is safe and appropriate, enjoy off lead freedom.

These walks are designed to give dogs more than physical exercise. We want them to come home having used their bodies, their brains and their senses, feeling happy, settled and fulfilled.

Each walk includes

  • Morning collection and afternoon drop off
  • Small groups, with a maximum of six dogs
  • Around two hours of walking across varied locations and terrain
  • Off lead exploration where appropriate
  • GPS tracking for added safety
  • Structured, balanced socialisation

Safety

Your dog's welfare guides every decision we make, from group matching and environment choice to when off lead freedom is appropriate.

Transport

Dogs travel in secure, comfortable crates in a professionally fitted, well ventilated vehicle, helping them travel safely and settle between walks.

Location

Our Adventure Walks take place across carefully chosen countryside and open space locations, with collections centred around Shepherd's Bush, Chiswick, Brook Green, Holland Park and surrounding West London areas.

Coming March 2027

Coming Soon: Local Social Walks

From March 2027, we'll be introducing a small group Local Social Walk for dogs who enjoy a sociable, engaging walk closer to home.

With groups of up to six compatible dogs, these one hour walks will combine exercise, sniffing, social interaction and supervised freedom where appropriate.

Initially available on selected afternoons within a small local collection area around Shepherd's Bush.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your dog walking times in West London?

Walks typically run with morning pick-ups between 8:00am - 9:00am and drop-offs between 12:00pm - 13:00pm, depending on the route. A 15-30 minute flexibility window to account for traffic and route logistics.

What's the difference between local park walks and countryside dog walking?

Our walks take place in larger green spaces within country parks offering more space, varied terrain and a calmer environment. This allows for better quality exercise and more meaningful stimulation.

Can my dog join group walks without reliable recall?

If recall is still developing, we recommend starting with solo training walks. This allows us to build responsiveness and trust before gradually introducing group environments.

What is the difference between a Solo Training Walk and a regular solo dog walk?

Our Solo Training Walks are designed around a specific training or behavioural goal rather than simply providing one to one exercise. We work with your dog in real world environments on areas such as lead walking, recall, confidence, engagement and appropriate social behaviour, using positive, force free methods throughout. The aim is to help your dog build skills that make everyday life and future walks easier and more enjoyable.

Which type of walk is right for my dog?

Adventure Walks suit a wide range of dogs and are particularly good for higher-energy breeds that benefit from a longer outing, more exercise and mental stimulation. They may be less suitable for very young puppies, dogs with injuries or joint issues, or dogs who would struggle with a longer group walk. Local Social Walks are ideal for dogs who are well suited to a one-hour group walk, whether that is their main outing for the day or an additional walk alongside their usual routine. They offer exercise, social interaction and time outdoors in a shorter format than our Adventure Walks. Solo Training Walks are for dogs who need focused one-to-one support with a specific behaviour or skill, such as recall, lead walking, confidence or engagement. We'll always consider your dog's age, health, personality, energy levels and experience before recommending the most suitable option.

Is there a minimum age for dogs to join group walks?

We generally recommend dogs are at least 6 months old. For younger, senior or more sensitive dogs, we take a tailored approach.

How many dogs are in each group?

We keep groups small, with a maximum of six dogs to maintain a calm environment and ensure appropriate attention and safe handling.
